It is the mission of the Canandaigua School Resource Officer Program to maintain a safe and secure learning environment in the Canandaigua City Schools and to reduce crime associated with schools such as trespassing, alcohol and drug offenses, possession of weapons, and assaults by working closely with building principals and developing one on one relationships with students; introducing students to police officers in a more positive setting, while serving as both teachers and counselors to the students in order to foster mutual trust and respect between the officer and the student.
