If you have information that could affect the safety of our school or its students and teachers, there is a way you can get the word to those who can help do something about it WITHOUT ANYONE KNOWING YOUR IDENTITY!

It’s called The Safe School Helpline® and it is available 24/7!
The Helpline allows students, parents, staff and community members to report wrongdoing and illegal activities in schools without identifying themselves. The caller’s name is never asked so you can make a report anonymously, to protect your friends, families, and yourself from retribution.

- Simply place a call to 1-800-4-1-VOICE, ext. 359 (1-800-418-6423, ext. 359) and follow the prompts. You will be guided through a series of explanations and questions, and then asked for a detailed account of the situation or problem. The screeners at the independent call center are located in another state, and no one locally will ever hear your voice.

-A transcript of your call will be faxed to the Canandaigua City School for follow-up; in most case the next day, however if urgent, the school officials are contacted immediately, day or night.

-You will be given a case number and asked to call back in three school days. If the school administrators require any additional information, they will let the call center know and they can ask you when you call back in 3 school days.

-Once the issue is resolved, the school sends a report back to the call center so that the caller can find out what happened as a result of his or her tip.

It’s that easy!!! If you would like additional information, contact Officer Bells, or visit the Safe School Helpline online.
